Henri Matisse and Pierre Bonnard, major artists of the 20th century, shared life’s greatest and simplest moments. Their correspondence bears witness to their unfailing friendship, their mutual admiration and their shared vision of art. Letters from Bonnard to Matisse and from Matisse to Bonnard will be read, as well as letters from these two twentieth-century geniuses to the Maeght family.
