Standing concerts – open seating within the Fondation Maeght’s Miró Labyrinth.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m., with a self-guided visit of the Ellsworth Kelly exhibition available before the concerts begin at 8:30 p.m.

Light refreshments and a bar will be available throughout the evening.

Tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable.

Gilles Peterson presents Impressions – two exceptional evenings of music celebrating jazz at the Fondation Maeght, on August 5 and 6, 2026.

“When Aimé and Marguerite Maeght founded the Fondation they had a vision to create a beautiful space for art and creativity to thrive and, in so doing, build a platform for artistic voices to develop and grow. Their open minded approach is very close to my heart as they focused on championing the creative spirit regardless of whether it was painting, sculpture or music and so many of the now masters in their fields got their start there.

In the late 60s and early 70s it hosted – alongside the leading lights of the European avant garde – some of the most forward thinking American Black Music without hesitation and with the full understanding of its importance as high art. Sun Ra, Cecil Taylor, Milford Graves and Albert Ayler stood shoulder to shoulder with Merce Cunningham, La Monte Young and Terry Riley nestled alongside works by Calder, Giacometti and Miró.

This year – our third for Impressions – we are fully embracing that founding spirit of the Fondation and focusing entirely on newer artists which you can read about below.

Tara Clerkin Trio

Formed by Pat Benjamin, Sunny Joe Paradisos and Tara Clerkin, the Tara Clerkin Trio brings together three musicians from Bristol’s alternative music scene. Drawing from jazz, trip hop, electronica, psychedelia and minimalism, the trio creates a hypnotic and experimental sound world where textures, improvisation and sonic exploration intertwine. Following a series of acclaimed releases, the band will unveil their new album Somewhere Good in 2026.

Moses Boyd

Multi-award-winning drummer, producer, composer and DJ, Moses Boyd is one of the leading figures of London’s new jazz scene. Inspired by gospel, soul, funk, reggae and classical music, he creates a distinctive sound at the crossroads of jazz, electronics and contemporary urban culture. A sought-after collaborator, he has worked with artists including Sampha, Little Simz, Four Tet and Sons of Kemet, while developing an acclaimed solo career through his Exodus label..

Tereza DJ

Berlin-based DJ and curator Tereza navigates club culture through a strong sense of connection and flow. Rooted in hip hop and driven by wide-ranging musical curiosity, she blends house, soul, jazz and underground dance music into evolving, immersive sets. Guided by the energy of the dancefloor, she creates fluid musical journeys where grooves unfold naturally and every transition feels instinctive

Gilles Peterson DJ SetInternationally renowned DJ, producer and curator, Gilles Peterson is a leading figure in jazz, electronic and Afro-diasporic music. To close the evening in style, he will take over the Miró Labyrinth for an immersive set beneath the stars, surrounded by Miró’s works.
